i miss the matt moore days of racing... does anyone remember those? ...when friends came first, competition came second & everyone had fun- even if they lost. if you don't know who matt moore is- ask someone.

i think both the racers & parents have lost track of what this sport is all about- having fun & doing what we all love to do. there has been a lot of friction between people lately. there is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON it should have to come to the point where bonnie or ed (or anyone else who helps run these tracks so WE can all race) should have to get upset & remind us all what we are supposed to know anyways. we are all there because WE ALL SHARE A COMMON BOND- WE LOVE BMX RACING!!! I cant imagine how the fact that we all love this sport could ever be our biggest weakness. we are supposed to be having fun doing something we are all passionate about & sharing the fun with our friends.

I AM MAKING A PROMISE to Bonnie & Ed, & to more importantly- TO MYSELF- that I WILL have fun first, secondly I WILL NOT get upset if i dont do as well as i want to, & finally, I WILL ONLY use a not-so-good finish as a MOTIVATOR to improve my own racing-> because i know that THAT IS THE ONE THING that i can control. ***I STRONGLY URGE ALL OF THE RACERS & PARENTS ALIKE TO COMMENT ON THIS POST with the same promise- because today was our weakest day & WE ALL owe it to Bonnie & Ed for all the hard work & time they give us so we can continue to do what we love.

I also miss the days of Matt Moore racing. I remember when it was just a family of bmxers who came to the track to have fun and hang out with all of there friends.

Today i make my promise aswell to have fun and respect other riders.

Thank you Liz for reminding us all of what bmx is really all about.

We are the Williamson Family, Wayne, Lisa, Andrea, Keersten, and, Taylor. We all promise to not lose focus on why we are involved in BMX. Our focus is first to have fun!! We have always enjoyed BMX, and we promise to do our part in making BMX fun for ourselves and everyone else that we come into contact with. On our team, Avent/Bombshell, there are a lot of positive/uplifting comments, we support each other in racing and personal goals. We, as members of the team, wish for everybody to treat everbody else with respect and to be a bigger part of a team called BMX. We are all in the same sport, Liz is right, we all love BMX. We all represent BMX. Therefore, remember that you are responsible for your actions, because we are all role models for the younger riders.

Thank you Liz! We agree with you 100%. Ironically, I (Wayne), was just talking to Keersten and Taylor about Matt Moore the other day. At the Matt Moore Memorial Race, we enjoyed meeting his dad and hearing some stories about his life. We thought it was a great way to honor him, and we would enjoy participating in more of those memorial races. It is a reminder to everyone in BMX of how much we all really mean to each other.

Last but not least, instead of making it harder on Ed and Bonnie, lets put our energy into finding ways to help them. Ask them if you can help sweep, or just say "Thank You". They put a lot of hard work into providing tracks for all of us to race at, and we should honor them by being kind and helping out when possible. Without Ed and Bonnie, the tracks wouldn't be there for us all to enjoy, everyone needs to remember that.

PS: Again, Thank you Liz.
